Writer and producer
Ashleigh is a filmmaker, writer, and lawyer whose work sits at the intersection of justice, transformation, and healing. Guided by the belief that humour and trauma — comedy and tragedy — are perspectival and rooted in incongruity, she creates stories that illuminate the humanity found in life’s contradictions. With a strong affinity for underdog narratives, Ashleigh is driven by genuine curiosity about people whose experiences are often overlooked. Her films explore the dark crevices of the human condition while giving voice to those rarely heard, crafting emotive, character‑centred works that shift perceptions and reveal individuals as the complex, compelling people they are. Drawing on her background as a trauma‑informed lawyer and her growing body of screen credits, she brings ethical clarity, creative depth, and a fierce commitment to impact to every project she undertakes.
